About the apprenticeship

The Business Administration Apprentice will learn all aspects of working in an office environment whilst studying towards your Business Administration qualification.

Duties

As an Administrative Assistant you will provide support to a number of key functions in the business e.g. Safety / Process / Maintenance / Technical / Quality / Procurement / HR Admin and Training. You will have an insight to the business of how these functions work and the services they provide within a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent career opportunity for someone who wants to progress within business in a manufacturing environment.

  • Use Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint to create reports, spreadsheets and presentations
  • Learn SAP for raising purchase requisitions and receiving goods
  • Support differing functions with routine administrative tasks
  • General admin duties i.e., record retention, photocopying, filing (paper and electronically)
  • Manage office post

Celanese are recruiting a Business Administration Apprentice to join us at Advanced Elastomer Systems (AES) Plant in Newport. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a fast‑paced and varied manufacturing environment where we take pride in delivering flawless performance.

A Business Administration Apprenticeship is an 18‑month scheme that will help you achieve a variety of qualifications. You will aim to achieve an NQ Level 3 Apprenticeship with a view to further progressing to a Level 4 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration. The Apprenticeship is a work‑based vocational training programme. You will be based at the manufacturing facility for five days a week and will learn on the job.
