Overview

Join our collaborative Project & Programme Services team as a Fire Consultant. You will work on diverse projects across retail, health, energy, commercial property, education and public sectors, manage client relationships, and handle technical and legal issues.

Responsibilities

• Working across local, regional and international projects in different sectors providing a range of fire consultancy duties.
• Carrying out fire risk assessments, fire compartmentation and fire door surveys and providing professional fire consultancy advice.
• Supporting AtkinsRéalis' Lead for fire consultancy and other senior managers in their day-to-day activities.
• Keeping up to date with regulations and legislation.
• Line management, mentoring and training junior staff.
• Understanding the principles of quality, safety and the environment in survey, design and management of projects and portfolios.

What you can bring

• At least one of the following qualifications/memberships: NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety; Institute of Fire Safety Managers (IFSM); Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE); Level 3 Award in Fire Door Inspection (advantageous).
• Sound technical fire knowledge and passive fire surveying experience.
• A few years' experience in undertaking fire risk assessments across a broad range of sectors and property types.
• Experience managing clients with understanding of profitability, business development and commercial awareness.
• Excellent time management, punctuality, and commitment to getting the job done.
• Enthusiasm to learn and support colleagues with their development.
• Contribute to a positive, friendly environment and build relationships across teams and clients.
• Willingness to travel to carry out site surveys and assessments.
