Stock Condition Surveyor

Immediate Start Before Christmas!
Location: Stockport, Greater Manchester
Contract: Temporary (4-5 months)
Hours: 37 per week (flexible)
Start Date: ASAP – ideally before Christmas for induction

We're looking for two experienced Stock Condition Surveyors to join a dynamic team supporting asset investment and customer safety. This is a fantastic opportunity to hit the ground running in the new year after a short induction before the holidays.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out accurate stock condition surveys and record data in line with lifecycle and replacement cycles.
  • Diagnose, specify, and order technical repair solutions.
  • Undertake HHSRS assessments and identify Category 1 & 2 hazards.
  • Report on Decent Homes non‑compliance.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues, and external agencies.
  • Work independently and manage a variable caseload.
Essential Skills & Experience
  • Minimum 1 year experience in stock condition surveys.
  • Background in residential surveying/building maintenance.
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in a building discipline OR 5 years hands‑on trade experience.
  • Strong knowledge of disrepair and housing standards.
  • IT literate (MS Office).
  • Full UK driving license (business mileage paid).
