An opportunity has emerged to join the Building Services Engineering Team as a Building Surveyor, supporting the delivery of high quality surveying services across a diverse client portfolio.

Role Overview

You will ensure full compliance with statutory requirements, industry regulations, and the internal quality systems of Frankham Group. The role requires strong technical capability, confident client engagement, and the ability to contribute to both project delivery and wider business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver surveying work in line with statutory requirements, regulatory standards, and internal governance frameworks.
  • Act as Contract Administrator on surveying commissions, including preparation of specifications and drawings.
  • Carry out a range of building surveys such as condition surveys, dilapidation surveys and DDA surveys.
  • Produce professional reports and develop design solutions that align to client expectations.
  • Support the investigation of building pathology issues and contribute to the development of suitable solutions.
  • Assist in party wall matters, dilapidation assessments and other related technical or quasi legal workstreams.
  • Identify and explore new business opportunities and represent the company at marketing and client events.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants and contractors, promoting confidence in Frankham Group services.
  • Monitor project financial performance using Workbench and client specific systems.
  • Apply knowledge of key client sectors including housing, transport and education.
  • Support the management of individual client workloads and framework agreements.
  • Undertake any additional duties required in line with the role following consultation.
Requirements
  • Degree in Building Surveying, Construction Management or a similar discipline, with one to two years post qualification experience or equivalent experience in a surveying environment.
  • Strong team orientation with the ability to collaborate effectively with managers and peers.
  • Positive working attitude supported by strong communication skills and adaptability.
  • Capability to support junior team members with technical queries.
  • Ability to present information clearly, logically and with professional confidence.
  • Demonstrates determination, resilience and a results focused mindset.
  • Ambition to progress toward Chartered Building Surveyor status.
