Job Title: Building Field Technician II

Duration: 6 Months with possible extension/Conversion

Location: Berwick PA, 18603

Schedule: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

About the Role:

We are seeking a Building Field Technician II to join our team on a dynamic project site in Berwick, PA. This position is ideal for a skilled technician with a background in the installation, troubleshooting, and commissioning of low-voltage systems, particularly within Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC controls, and security systems.

You will work both independently and in collaboration with a project team to ensure project goals are met on time and to specification. This role offers hands-on experience and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge building technology systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commissioning and startup of new control systems
• Troubleshoot and repair wiring, hardware, and software in BAS systems
• Diagnose communication issues with control devices
• Create, test, and tune system databases
• Install and recommission system devices and software
• Coordinate on-site subcontractor activities
• Provide on-site training to customers when needed
• Maintain test records and documentation
• Ensure site safety and cleanliness standards
• Assist in field startups and support senior technicians and project managers
• Help manage material logistics and documentation using project tools (Design 360, Prometheus apps)

Qualifications & Skills

• Working knowledge of HVAC systems and/or security industry applications

• Boilers (High/Low Pressure)
• Chillers and Cooling Towers
• Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) Systems
• Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
• Precision Cooling Systems (CRAC Units)
• Geothermal Systems
• Humidification/Dehumidification Systems
• Variable Air Volume (VAV) Systems
• Strong understanding of BAS and how it interfaces with mechanical systems
• Comfortable working on ladders and in confined spaces
