A local government authority in Maidstone seeks an experienced Building and Facilities Manager to lead the management of their diverse property portfolio. This pivotal role requires proven expertise in building compliance, capital project management, and sustainability initiatives. The successful candidate will work full-time, managing an array of properties while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with health and safety regulations. A strong leader with excellent communication skills is sought for this key position.
Are you a strategic and experienced building professional ready to lead the future of public sector property management? Following a service redesign to improve efficiency and take a more strategic approach to managing our property portfolio, we’re looking for an exceptional Building and Facilities Manager to join our senior leadership team and take the reins of a diverse, high‑profile property portfolio. The portfolio comprises approximately 200 properties including tenanted commercial and residential investment properties, tenanted community properties and operational properties. This is a pivotal role at the heart of our organisation – one that demands vision, technical expertise, and the ability to drive meaningful change.
You’ll be responsible for ensuring our buildings are safe, compliant, efficient, and fit for the future. From leading capital projects to championing sustainability and decarbonisation, this is your chance to shape the built environment for generations to come.
This is a full‑time position on a permanent contract, working 37 hours a week Monday to Friday on‑site, with some hybrid working.
