A leading Facilities Management provider is seeking a Fabric Supervisor to oversee a team of engineers on site in Birmingham. The candidate must be 18th Edition qualified and have previous experience in building fabric repairs. Responsibilities include responding to reactive works, liaising with clients, and ensuring health and safety compliance. This permanent position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with call-out duties.

Qualifications

  • 18th Edition qualification is essential for the role.
  • Previous experience in a technical role within the FM sector is necessary.
  • Candidates with HVAC qualifications will have an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee a team of 4 Fabric Engineers on site.
  • Respond to reactive works and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Liaise with clients regarding maintenance and repair tasks.
  • Conduct site surveys and produce necessary documents for planned works.
  • Perform repairs on floor and wall coverings.

Overview

Due to contract growth, we are recruiting for a Fabric Supervisor for a leading Facilities Management company to on leading site in Birmingham.

This is a working supervisor role with the successful candidate overseeing a team for 4 Fabric Engineers and all works on site. You will also be required to support with all fabric works on site.

The successful candidate will have previous experience within a technical role in the FM sector within commercial environments. Candidates must be 18th Edition qualified to be considered for this role to allow them to carry out basic works on site where required.

This role would suit an Electrical Supervisor who is happy to be involved in Fabric works OR a Fabric Engineer who is 18th Edition qualified.

Hours - Mon - Fri ( 8-5)

Call out 1 in 5 ( £100 per week + minimum 4 hours per call)

This is a permanent position based on Days

Responsibilities
  • Respond to reactive works within the team
  • Ensure maintenance tasks are completed within agreed timescales
  • Liaise with Clients representatives with respect to maintenance & repair tasks
  • Undertake site surveys & produce Works Requests, Method Statements & Risk Assessments for planned works
  • Repairs floor and wall coverings
  • Responsible for ceiling tile repairs and replacements
  • Responsible for other building and installation works as required
  • Accountable for lighting, general lamp changes, Filter Changes AHU's / FCU's and Basic Plumbing requirements
  • Utilise PDA to complete works, key communications & updates
  • Complete reactive, PPM jobs & projects in a timely manner
  • Undertake minor projects works
  • Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with Health and Safety at Work Regulations
Qualifications & Skills
  • 18th Edition Qualified
  • Qualifications in Mechanical / Electrical / HVAC disciplines are advantageous
  • Experience in carrying out building fabric repairs
  • Experience in a similar Facilities Management / Building Services background
