Bookkeeper – Part Time

Salary: £28,000 depending on experience (FTE)

Location: Outskirts of Redhill

Lloyd Recruitment Services is pleased to be working with a local organisation in search of a Bookkeeper to join their team.

The role of the Bookkeeper is to maintain accurate financial records for the business, tracking money in and out through tasks such as processing invoices, managing cash flow, and preparing for taxes.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing business which offers flexible / part time hours.

Bookkeeper Key Responsibilities
  • Recording transactions – processing sales and purchase invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely manner
  • Managing accounts – reconciling bank statements, reviewing cash flow and balances weekly, managing HMRC bills, employee payments, and expenses
  • Matching purchase orders with invoices, allocating and sending to Dext
  • Paying vendor invoices
  • Preparing payroll and managing expense claims
  • Completing and submitting VAT returns; assisting with annual accounts
  • Providing regular financial reports to support business decision-making
  • Producing monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets
  • Liaising with the company’s accountant, particularly for year-end accounts
Skills and Qualifications
  • Part time: 15 hours per week across 2 days (would consider 3)
  • Working times: Between 8am – 5pm (some flexibility available)
  • Recognised accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Confidentiality and discretion
  • Ability to work independently within a small business environment
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Proficiency in Xero (training can be provided)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Salary £28k pro rata (DOE) - 15 hours per week
