Overview

The Temporary Staffing Services of West London NHS Trust is seeking to recruit a highly skilled Band 4 Booking Co-ordinator. The post will require the successful candidate to co‑ordinate bank and agency cover for the trust. The successful candidate will be required to work in a very challenging and demanding environment and to provide a professional, effective and efficient Temporary Staffing Service. Excellent communication skills are essential to develop and maintain professional working relationships with Bank staff, Ward/Department Managers, Clinical Team Leaders, Senior staff, Agency suppliers and Human Resources colleagues. The ideal candidate must be proficient with various IT applications in order to use the established E rostering process. Experience or knowledge of working within a mental health environment is desirable, as well as a good understanding of current trends in the temporary workforce.

Responsibilities
  • Co‑ordinate bank and agency cover for the Trust as part of a small procurement team dedicated to temporary staffing.
  • Provide a professional, effective and efficient Temporary Staffing Service in a demanding environment.
  • Develop and maintain professional working relationships with Bank staff, Ward/Department Managers, Clinical Team Leaders, Senior staff, Agency suppliers and Human Resources colleagues.
  • Be self‑motivated and capable of working to tight deadlines; maintain high standards of service delivery.
  • Use IT systems such as HealthRoster and BankStaff software to support the established rostering process.
  • Ensure timely and efficient booking of bank staff in collaboration with stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Proven IT proficiency and ability to use rostering and staffing systems (e.g., HealthRoster and BankStaff).
  • Excellent customer care skills and the ability to develop highly professional relationships with stakeholders, including bank workers, external agencies and service managers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, be self‑motivated and committed to high standards of service delivery.
  • Experience or knowledge of working within a mental health environment is desirable.
  • Understanding of current trends in the temporary workforce.
