Job description

We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Booking and Scheduling team at WTWA Wythenshawe. The post holder will be responsible for providing an efficient and high‑quality service to support the Booking & Scheduling Team in the management of booking and scheduling waiting lists, ensuring that key access standards are met in line with the requirements of the Trust access policy.

Role Responsibilities
  • Provide efficient and high‑quality administrative support.
  • Add patients to a waiting list ensuring patients are on the correct pathways, validating and amending as necessary.
  • Ensure patients have all the relevant pre‑admission tests and checks.
  • Record patient cancellations and DNAs (Did not attend).
  • Liaise with consultants regarding case‑mix, additions to lists and list changes.
  • Ensure theatre lists are constructed to maximise levels of utilisation.

The successful applicant will need to have a keen eye for detail, work well under stress and be able to adapt to an ever‑changing priority workload. The role is fast‑paced and excellent organisational skills are essential. You must be confident and work well on your own as well as alongside our friendly, hard‑working and fun team.

You will be supported by a strong management structure, receive yearly appraisals and training opportunities with the encouragement and support for ongoing development.
