Job description

Teacher of Biology (KS3 & KS4) – Secondary School in Southport – Starting in the next couple of weeks for approximately 3 months.

Tradewind Recruitment, the most recommended teaching agency in the Liverpool City Region, is seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Biology to join an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in Southport. This is a full-time, temporary position starting in the next couple of weeks, initially for approximately three months, to cover a period of staff absence while a teacher recovers from an operation.

About the Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective Biology lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, maintaining high standards of teaching and learning within a supportive science department. This role would suit a confident classroom practitioner who can quickly build rapport with students and ensure continuity of learning.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Science/Biology
• An enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one)
• A full and up-to-date CV
• A minimum of two professional references
• The legal right to work in the UK
• An overseas police check (if applicable)

Pay Rate

Up to £232.56 per day, depending on experience.
