Job Title: Biology Teacher

Location: Kimberley

Start Date: January 2026

Salary: £162-£223 per day

TeacherActive is working with a well-known mainstream secondary school with a strong sense of community in the Kimberley area, Notts. The school have high aspirations and offer fantastic support to all of its staff.

The school is looking to take on a Biology teacher starting in September 2025. The successful applicant will be working across both Key Stages 4 and 5, including exam preparation for GCSE s and A Levels.

The role will be paramount in helping students achieve excellent results in the subject, whilst following and implementing the schemes of learning.

Key Responsibilities

• A graduate with qualified teacher status.
• An outstanding teacher in Science / Biology, with a strong teaching record.
• Relevant qualifications (both formal and through appropriate experience) to meet the challenge of the appointment.
• Excellent in-depth knowledge of the Science / Biology curriculum in the development of young people and of the place of within the wider curriculum. An understanding of the importance of a rigorous reading strategy to ensure students confidence and reading fluency.
