Job summary

A family run roofing contractor in the United Kingdom is seeking a skilled Bid Writer to support refurbishment projects by producing compelling, high-quality tender submissions. The ideal candidate will work closely with technical teams to convert complex information into clear proposals, ensuring accuracy and compliance in responses. Responsibilities include editing tender documents, gathering content, and maintaining a response library. Strong editing and communication skills, as well as experience in bid writing, are essential for success.

Responsibilities

  • Write and edit responses for PQQs, ITTs, and tender documents
  • Work with project managers and subject matter experts to gather content
  • Ensure submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time
  • Maintain a library of standard responses and case studies
  • Contribute to improving bid quality and win rates

Skills

Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills

Howells are working on an exciting Bid Writer opportunity on behalf of a family run roofing contractor that are looking to expand their work winning team.

Purpose of Bid Writer role:

We are seeking a skilled Bid Writer to support refurbishment projects by producing compelling, high-quality tender submissions. You will work closely with technical teams to translate complex information into clear, client-focused proposals that help us win new contracts.

Bid Writer Key Responsibilities
  • Write and edit responses for PQQs, ITTs, and tender documents.
