Exciting Opportunity for a Best Interest Assessor – Social Worker Role in Telford, UK. A locum position commencing in October 2025 for a 4-week project. Full-time commitment of 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, hybrid structure with base in Telford or nearby areas. Driving licence and access to a car are essential, as you will visit clients to transition 77 individuals from Appointee to Deputyship, prioritising the first 34 clients within the first two weeks of October.

Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments to determine the best interests of clients, ensuring their needs and preferences are thoroughly considered and documented.
• Collaborate with other professionals to compile comprehensive COP3 forms for individuals transitioning from Appointee to Deputyship.
• Prioritise and manage your caseload efficiently to meet project goals within the designated timeframe.
• Utilise expertise in mental capacity assessment, building on existing information and conducting thorough client evaluations.
• Engage with clients face-to-face, ensuring their wellbeing and interests are at the forefront of assessments.
