A leading charity hospice in Leeds is seeking empathetic individuals to join their Bereavement Cafe team as volunteers. This role involves welcoming attendees, facilitating introductions, and providing emotional support during meetings held on Friday mornings. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills and a commitment to helping their local community. Training and support will be provided along with an opportunity to develop new skills.

Job description

Are you a good listener Our Bereavement Cafe is looking for empathetic compassionate and sensitive individuals to join our team of Bereavement Cafe volunteers. You will welcome people facilitate introductions listen and offer emotional wellbeing support to people attending the group. The role involves a commitment of four hours one Friday morning of each month between 9.15 am and 1.30 pm.

St Gemmas Hospice is an independent Leeds-based charity and one of the leading hospices in the UK providing expert care and support for local people with life-limiting and terminal illnesses. We offer care to patients families and carers in the Hospices In-Patient Unit through the St Gemmas community team and at our Out-Patients. We have around 300 employees working across the main Hospice site in Moortown Retail Hub in Bramley a large chain of charity shops and out in the community.
