Behaviour Support Assistant | Location: Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire | Contract: Supply or Long-Term | Salary: £88 – £105 per day | Employer: GSL Education

GSL Education are seeking a compassionate and resilient Behaviour Support Assistant to work in schools across Scunthorpe. This role is ideal for individuals with experience in Mental Health support, SEMH education, or as a support worker, who are passionate about helping young people achieve their potential.

The Role

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting students who face barriers to learning due to social, emotional, or behavioural needs. By building positive relationships and providing consistent guidance, you’ll help learners improve their confidence, resilience, and engagement in education.

Responsibilities
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to support behaviour and learning
  • Implement de-escalation strategies and promote positive behaviour
  • Provide emotional and social support to students with SEMH needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, SEN staff, and pastoral teams
Candidate Requirements
