Behaviour Officer – Full-time, Temp to Perm, Starting January 2026

This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated Behaviour Officer to join a school that fosters a positive and inclusive learning environment. Duties as Behaviour Officer
  • Implement and monitor behaviour management strategies across the school
  • Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs to engage positively in learning
  • Work closely with teachers, pastoral teams, and senior leaders to promote a consistent approach
  • Develop and maintain behaviour plans and intervention programmes
  • Provide guidance and support to staff on managing challenging behaviour
  • Liaise with parents and external agencies to ensure effective communication and support
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to safeguarding procedures
Ideal Behaviour Officer
  • Previous experience in a behaviour management or pastoral role within a school setting
  • Strong understanding of strategies for supporting pupils with behavioural and emotional needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
  • Flexible, resilient, and committed to promoting positive behaviour and inclusion
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one
Salary
