Behaviour Mentor – Secondary SEN Setting

Location: South Shields
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time

This Behaviour Mentor role focuses on supporting pupils who struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement in learning.

You’ll work with pupils individually and in small groups, helping them reflect on choices, develop coping strategies and rebuild confidence.

The role involves:

  • Providing targeted behaviour support
  • Supporting pupils during challenging moments
  • Encouraging emotional awareness and self‑regulation
  • Supporting reintegration into learning
  • Acting as a positive role model

Experience in youth work, mentoring or care is beneficial but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
