Responsibilities

  • Support implementation of school behaviour policy.
  • Ensure students are calm and orderly during transitions.
  • Monitor and supervise students during break and lunch.
  • Mentor students and present progress reports.
  • Coordinate with teaching staff on student provisions.
  • Liaise with parents and relevant staff.
  • Maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Act as a role model for students.

We are looking for an experienced Behaviour Mentor to support students at a Primary KS2 School in Leeds

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the consistent implementation of the school behaviour policy
  • Taking responsibility for the calm and purposeful movement of students into/out of the school and between lessons
  • Working with the other members of the behaviour team to ensure students are monitored and supervised before school, during break and throughout lunch
  • Mentoring students on PSPs, including supporting in lessons if required and presenting progress reports at review meetings
  • Liaising with teaching staff to ensure appropriate work is set and appropriate provision is in place
  • Liaising with parents/carers and relevant staff
  • Maintaining a calm and purposeful learning environment
  • Being a role model for students
Qualifications
  • Experience of dealing successfully with a range of behaviour issues
  • Experience of working with staff to ensure excellent behaviour for learning
  • Experience of working with families
