Pay: £12.26 per hour, 16 hours per week

About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant. As part of the busy catering team, we would love to welcome a new colleague who can bring creativity, imagination and an abundance of great ideas to enhance meal times. Ideally you will have previous experience within a busy catering environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the cook in the management of the nursery kitchens, food policies, organising, preparing and serving nursery meals in accordance with the nursery menus and individual dietary requirements.
  • Act as a good role model to the children, demonstrating patience and encouragement and following safeguarding policies and procedures in place.
  • Work 11:30 am – 3:30 pm Monday to Thursday.
  • Maintain highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness in accordance with Environmental Health requirements and legislation.
  • Knowledge of current legislations in Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency is highly desirable.
Qualifications
  • Current Food Hygiene certificate (training available for the ideal candidate).
  • Excellent knowledge of Environmental Health and Food Standards Agency regulations is highly desirable.
  • Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check on appointment and every three years thereafter.
