A maritime operations company in the United Kingdom is seeking experienced JUB Masters and Jacking Engineers to operate mid-size Nearshore Jack-Up Barges (JUBs). The ideal candidates will have proven expertise in managing jacking operations within shallow-water environments. Responsibilities include ensuring operational safety and efficiency, with a focus on unique jacking techniques suitable for these vessels. This role emphasizes the importance of experience in similar maritime conditions, and provides an opportunity to work with specialized equipment.
Our client operates a fleet of mid-size Nearshore Jack-Up Barges (JUBs) with up to 1,000T payload and 40 POB, working in very shallow waters (5–30m). These units are equipped with tubular, pin-in-hole legs, making their movement and jacking operations distinctly different from larger lattice-leg jack-ups.
As a result, the client is seeking highly experienced JUB Masters and Jacking Engineers with proven expertise in nearshore JUB operations, specifically within shallow-water environments.
