A community care organization in Weston-super-Mare is seeking a dedicated support worker to provide person-centred care for individuals with mental health needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting individuals with conditions such as Psychosis and Bipolar disorder, and will be responsible for implementing Positive Behaviour Support strategies. This role requires working in a dynamic team and engaging with clients in social and community activities.

Location: Weston Super Mare
We provide support on a 24/7 basis with a staffing ratio of 2:1 support. You will be expected to support on a rotational basis working 12‑hour shifts. This will include every other weekend and will include sleep‑in duties.
For this position it is essential that you have a background in supporting people with Psychosis, Bipolar disorder, and Autism.
Ideally your experience will be in community base settings, such as supported living and/or residential care. Knowledge of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) would be an advantage.
You will play a pivotal role in providing person‑centred support for a sweet‑natured, captivating and humorous gentleman. He is supported on a 2:1 basis in his own home. The person has a love for crazy golf, amusement arcades, board games, strolls on the beach, playing pool and visiting the pub. You should be fun, upbeat and have a naturally bubbly personality. You will also need to be calm, relaxed and resilient.
