A major healthcare provider in Liverpool is seeking a Porter to ensure the smooth running of hospital operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting patients, delivering meals, and managing medical equipment while demonstrating excellent communication and customer service skills. An NVQ2 or equivalent qualification is required. This role emphasizes teamwork, tact, and the ability to work under pressure, aiming to deliver high-quality patient care.
The role of a Porter is instrumental to the smooth running of the Hospital, you will move patients, deliver patient meals and manage safe movement of other medical equipment. Porters should have the ability to work quickly and calmly in emergencies, have good interpersonal skills with the ability to listen and empathise, be patient and tolerant, a good physical fitness and have the ability follow instructions and work to tight time constraints.
You will be responsible for supporting service improvements and encouraging the delivery of high productivity; supported by excellent customer care. You will be able to work on your own initiative and under direction, whilst maintaining confidentiality and discretion at all times. The ability to prioritise your own workload and multi-task, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. In this role you will be required to provide a customer focused Porter service.
