You’ll help break down barriers to education for young people, helping them learn and grow at their own pace. The role of a Bank Learning Support Assistant is to provide support for students in their learning which includes their extended curriculum, external placements and visits, 1‑1 and small group sessions – under the direction of a session leader. You will also support students with the full range of communication systems, eating and drinking, personal care, mobility, medication and therapy subject to supervision and training.
Bridge College is the Together Trust’s specialist education college for students aged 16 to 25 years with disabilities, complex needs and autism. Bridge College promotes a multidisciplinary approach to learning and has expertise in supporting students with a wide range of needs.
Hours: 0‑hour contract Monday 08:30 – 16:00 pm, əsFriday 08:30 am – 15:15 pm. Starting salary £12.67 per hour. Location: Bridge College, Openshaw, Manchester M11 2GR.
We are looking to build a team of bank staff to support the children and young people we care for in our education setting. You will be motivated, passionate and flexible, willing to support the people who access our services, and encourage our young peopleSuz in developing confidence, self‑esteem and essential life skills. As part of our team you will work hard to empower and help them break through barriers and experience a range of varied opportunities and activities and assist permanent staff teams with duties. You will be open to completing personal care as well as general support work.
