About the Role

Are you a Nurse or Paramedic ready for something new? Want to use your clinical skills in a fast paced, rewarding environment supporting some of the most vulnerable people in our communities?

Join Mountain Healthcare as a Forensic Custody Healthcare Professional in Cumbria and be part of a specialist team delivering exceptional care in police custody settings.

Whether you're after a change of pace, better work life balance, or a new challenge, this could be the move you've been looking for. It’s a chance to grow, learn new skills, and be part of a service where your decisions and actions genuinely matter.

This role is ideal for Registered Nurses (RGN) and Paramedics with a minimum of three years post registration experience who want to apply their clinical skills in a dynamic and purpose driven environment.

Working in police custody suites, you’ll provide medical assessments and emergency care, support people through withdrawal, assess mental health needs, and carry out forensic procedures. You’ll also collect evidential samples and contribute to safeguarding decisions.

No previous forensic experience? That’s absolutely fine. We provide full accredited training to help you become a qualified Forensic Practitioner.

This is a bank position offering flexibility and shift patterns that fit around your life. You’ll be working a predictable 4 on 4 off pattern, with two day shifts followed by two night shifts.
