Staff Bank Services provides temporary staffing throughout Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust via various assignments.

We are looking to register reliable, hardworking individuals who would thrive in a busy environment and are available to work up to 12-hour shifts, as and when required, including days and nights. You will be working within the Environmental Services team, ensuring waste is collected in a timely and efficient manner from all areas of the hospital.

Main duties of the job

Environmental Services Porter will assist the Team Leader for the Process and Resource Manager and the staff in providing an efficient waste collection service for all wastes generated from the Trust. Waste Collectors will help deliver the Collection Schedules; including dirty and infected laundry, cardboard/sharps, biohazard / hazardous clinical wastes and recyclables in accordance with the following list of duties.

  • Must have experience of working in an industrial environment
