We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Locum Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist to join our team in London. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with colleagues on the Acute Stroke team, providing specialist assessment and treatment to adults with acquired neurological communication and swallowing difficulties. If you have a passion for neurorehabilitation and possess the necessary skills and experience, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities:

As a Locum Adult Community Speech and Language Therapist, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team providing specialist assessment and treatment to adults with acquired neurological communication and swallowing difficulties, primarily as a result of stroke. You will have the opportunity to provide in-reach as part of the Early Supported Discharge model. Your role will involve fostering a self-management approach with service users and their families, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care. Collaboration with other healthcare professionals and adherence to evidence-based practices will be essential in delivering effective interventions.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
  • HCPC registration
  • Stroke or neurological experience essential
  • Community experience preferable
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Strong clinical and communication skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development
