Band 8b Prison Services Clinical Pharmacist

Sanctuary Personnel is thrilled to offer an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished Band 8b Prison Services Clinical Pharmacist to join the dynamic team at HMP Channing’s Wood in Denbury, Newton Abbot. This role offers a competitive salary of £31.75 per hour PAYE (excluding holiday pay) and £35.58 per hour PAYE (including holiday pay), and is set for a 3-month tenure. Operating Monday through Friday from 07:30 to 17:30 with a 30-minute lunch break, this role promises an engaging and fulfilling experience within a secure environment.

• Provide expert pharmaceutical services to support the health and well-being of inmates, ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals and prison staff to design and implement therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmaceutical consultations.
• Undertake medicine management and reconciliation activities to maintain thorough, accurate records and prevent pharmaceutical discrepancies.
• Educate and advise staff and inmates on medication management, promoting adherence and understanding of treatment regimens.
• Develop and enforce protocols to ensure high standards of pharmaceutical care in compliance with both prison regulations and professional guidelines.
