Job Title:Band 8a Locum Advanced Practitioner Mammographer
Banding:8a
Location:East Yorkshire
Working Hours:08:45 am – 05:00 pm, 3-5 days per week
Rate:£35-£36 per hour

We are seeking a highly experienced Band 8a Locum Advanced Practitioner Mammographer to join our team in East Yorkshire. This temporary role, lasting three months, provides an excellent opportunity for an advanced practitioner to contribute to a leading healthcare service, offering high-quality mammographic imaging and ensuring the early detection of breast abnormalities.

Responsibilities:

As a Band 8a Locum Advanced Practitioner Mammographer, you will be responsible for performing advanced mammographic examinations, including assessment and screening procedures. You will ensure adherence to best practices and safety protocols while delivering excellent patient care. Your role will involve mentoring junior staff, managing complex cases, and contributing to service improvement initiatives. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to provide accurate diagnostic support will also be a key aspect of your responsibilities.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Radiographer
  • Postgraduate qualification in Mammography
  • Extensive experience in performing mammographic procedures, including both screening and diagnostic imaging
  • Strong understanding of mammographic techniques, safety protocols, and quality assurance standards
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and high standards of patient care
  • Experience in mentoring and training junior staff is advantageous
  • Experience with Breast Ultrasound (Post Grad Certificate), Interventional procedures and Breast Imagine interpretation
