Role Overview

The Team Leader - Health Visiting will be responsible for the clinical and professional management of a designated multidisciplinary team, to ensure safe and effective care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the effective and efficient use of skills and resources to ensure the integrated workforce is organised to meet the needs of local children and families in line with the Early Years Specification and other local and national standards.
  • Line manage the Health Visitor team on a daily basis to ensure the delivery of evidence based care and advice to children and families.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to Health Visitors through clinical supervision and by acting as an exemplar of clinical practice and quality standards.
  • Engage effectively with key partners and the community to develop services that address the early year's high impact areas and the individual needs of children and families.
Qualifications
  • First level registered nurse with a Health Visiting Degree/Diploma/Certificate and work within the NMC Code of Professional Conduct.
