Job Title: Band 7 Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist

Location: Mitcham, London

Salary: £31 per hour

Contract: Full-time, Ongoing (Locum)

Overview

Join us for an adventurous opportunity as a Band 7 Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist in Mitcham, London, delivering a highly specialized service to children with complex communication needs and swallowing difficulties, aged 0-19 years.

What you will do
  • Act as a key member of the clinical team, providing a comprehensive specialist service to children.
  • Manage your caseload independently: assessment, treatment, and documentation in line with professional standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referring services to promote understanding of speech and language therapy roles.
  • Supervise junior staff and students, providing guidance for their professional development.
  • Deliver treatment in community settings (clinics, schools, nurseries, homes).
  • Engage in CPD and contribute to audits and research to improve service quality.
  • Participate in the Single Assessment Process, coordinating with agencies to share information per Trust Guidelines.
Qualifications and requirements
  • HCPC registered (essential).
  • Relevant paediatric and dysphagia experience.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and clinical skills.
