Job overview

They will take the lead in working alongside teams to help them to understand how LUCI could augment their current work and also support new ways of working, design, co-ordinate and deliver training, leading programmes such as ‘train the trainer’ to ensure sustainability. They will provide input, using their clinical expertise, into the development of new platforms and ensure that the clinical end-user is held in mind throughout the design process.

Main duties of the job
  • Contribute as a specialist clinical advocate and representative in the development and implementation of projects within the clinical informatics service. Providing direct support during periods of system implementation within the clinical environment.
  • Support the risk and governance processes for the Clinical Informatics Service in conjunction with the Clinical Leads.
  • Validate clinical data to ensure that all data outputs accurately represent valid clinical constructs.
  • Maintain close links with the Digital and Quality Improvement teams to ensure early identification of quality improvement opportunities, consistently ensuring best practice and safety.
  • Work directly with clinical departments and the Clinical Governance Facilitators in managing and mitigating clinical risks identified in relation to our digital output.
  • Provide advice, information and guidance in relation to health informatics to enhance the quality of care and developments in clinical practice.
  • Represent the needs of both patients and clinical staff within the development of clinical informatics tools.
