A healthcare organization in Essex is looking for a Band 7 professional to join their Specialist Mental Health Team. This role involves clinical leadership, supervision of staff, and maintaining high-quality patient care. The Gables Specialist Mental Health Team serves the populations of Braintree and Maldon and surrounding areas, providing care and treatment to patients requiring secondary care mental health services.
It would be expected that the post holder works alongside the other members of the senior team to contribute towards the leadership and functioning of the team, ensuring that performance and activity targets are met.
The post holder will be required to provide advice, guidance and support to other staff within the team and to apply high level problem solving skills.
The post holder would be required to have good knowledge and understanding of the functioning of a secondary care community mental health service, and should also have the ability to screen referrals and consider appropriate allocations.
The post holder would also carry out ongoing supervision and appraisal of lower banded nursing staff within the team.
To develop and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with staff, patients, carers, clinicians as well as other teams within the trust and key partner organisations.
