Band 7 Advanced/Extended Nurse Practitioner

Are you an experienced Advanced Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Practitioner with an independent prescribing qualification and a strong background in urgent or community care? If you’re looking for a flexible part‑time role where you’ll work autonomously but also be supported by a skilled and friendly MDT, then this could be the right fit for you.

You’ll play a vital role in our Urgent Care Response service, helping patients stay safe at home, avoid unnecessary hospital admissions, and access timely, person‑centred care.

Main duties of the job
  • Carry out advanced assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for patients with undifferentiated conditions (including minor illness and injury)
  • Use your prescribing qualification to deliver safe, timely, and effective care
  • Support the Urgent Care Navigation Hub by triaging referrals and directing patients into the right pathways
  • Provide visible leadership, clinical guidance and supervision to nursing colleagues
  • Contribute to service development, audits and governance work to continuously improve care
