Conduct comprehensive dysphagia assessments for adults with learning disabilities, identifying individual care needs and intervention strategies.
Develop and implement management plans for support staff and family carers to ensure consistent and compassionate care.
Collaborate within multidisciplinary teams, providing holistic care and contributing to tailored support plans for individuals with complex needs.
Deliver training and professional guidance to staff and carers on dysphagia management and communication support.
Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to service audits and development initiatives.
Participate in regular supervision and team meetings, sharing best practices and promoting service excellence.
Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Speech and Language Therapist.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in speech and language therapy, with expertise in dysphagia and learning disabilities.
A valid driver’s licence is preferable, allowing flexibility to travel between sites when required.
