Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist - Adult Community Team

Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire, England NN15

Calling all Band 6 Speech and Language Therapists: an exhilarating opportunity awaits you in the vibrant town of Kettering. Join the Adult Community Team part-time for three days a week with a competitive pay rate of £25 per hour. This locum position is available for an immediate start and continues on an ongoing basis. Your expertise in dysphagia assessment, management, and treatment will be valued here as you support individuals with progressive disorders affecting communication and swallowing.

What you will do
  • Conduct comprehensive dysphagia assessments and provide management and treatment for individuals in the community.
  • Deliver assessment, treatment, and management for adults with progressive disorders pertaining to communication and swallowing issues.
  • Efficiently manage and triage the waiting list at St Mary\'s Hospital Kettering and the north community referral list.
  • Carry out home visits, attend nursing homes, and consult at clinics effectively.
  • Utilise your Smartcard and maintain or develop familiarity with SystmOne software.
  • Travel between sites as part of the role; having your own reliable transport is essential.
