Band 6 Pharmacist
  • Location: Essex
  • Schedule: Monday – Friday, 09:00 am – 17:15
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Duration: Ongoing
  • Employment Type: Full-Time, Onsite only
  • Rate: £24 - £32/ hour (dependant on experience)
Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 pharmacist to join the friendly and supportive pharmacy team at this NHS Trust, delivering high-quality pharmaceutical care across the inpatient and outpatient dispensary services.

This role is ideal for newly qualified or early-career pharmacists who are ready to build solid clinical and operational experience in a busy hospital environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performing clinical screening of prescriptions to ensure safe, appropriate, and effective use of medicines
  • Carrying out final accuracy checks (If ACT Trained) to support timely and safe supply of medications
  • Providing tailored patient counselling to promote understanding, adherence, and safe use of prescribed treatments
  • Working collaboratively with pharmacy technicians and assistants to maintain high standards of dispensing and supply
  • Supporting the delivery of a patient-centred service in line with hospital policies and national guidelines
