Overview

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Cardiac Radiographer to join an expanding service in Cardiac MRI within Watford Hospital.

The purpose of this post is to be an effective member of the Cardiac Radiography team, providing a high standard of cardiac radiographic service to patients and stakeholders. Supervision of junior staff and students would be a desirable expectation.

Responsibilities

To undertake Cardiac MRI imaging examinations within the Radiology Department to the standard required by the Department of Radiology and Cardiology.

To assist the Lead Radiographers in the day to day running of the Cardiac MRI and CT scanners, maintaining the high standards at all times.

To deputise for the Superintendent / Lead Radiographers in their absence.

To carry out monitoring procedures on equipment in the radiology Department, reporting any faults to the Superintendent Radiographer/Radiology Services Manager.

To respond to and investigate any reports of malfunction of the CT and MRI apparatus, accessories, office equipment or computer system.

Job responsibilities

Core hours 37.5 Monday - Friday between hours 8am-5pm

Responsible for the safe imaging within the Cardiac MRI suite, ensuring that patients are scanned according to protocol/guidance.

  • PgD in a cross-sectional modality
  • MRI Safety course
