Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist - CAMHS Early Intervention Practitioner

Join us on an exciting journey as a Band 6/7 Occupational Therapist CAMHS Early Intervention Practitioner in Plymouth. With a pay rate of up to £27-31 per hour and a full-time position available for a contract duration of three months, this is a chance to develop your career while making a difference in the lives of children and young people.

Working in a CAMHS environment, you will deliver assessments, offer advice, and signpost schools and community services for children with emerging mental health concerns. The role requires community experience and is ideal for those who want to implement evidence-based strategies as part of a dynamic healthcare team.

What you will do
  • Deliver assessments and provide advice to schools and community services for children and young people with emerging mental health issues.
  • Coordinate and implement targeted interventions collaboratively with other clinicians in the Early Help pathway.
  • Ensure timely assessment and intervention for children and young people.
  • Represent CAMHS in multi-agency meetings to coordinate mental health plans.
  • Act as a member of the locality-facing CAMHS Early Help pathway, implementing team decisions.
  • Evaluate interventions using Routine Outcome Monitoring (ROMS).
  • Participate in delivering CAMHS training programs to schools and community services.
  • Maintain high standards of care and effective communication with children, families, and health professionals.
  • Engage with clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and promote person-centred planning.
  • Provide advice, support, and signposting through the advice line.
