A leading agency seeks a skilled Speech and Language Therapist with dysphagia training for an acute role in a hospital setting in Enfield. We are seeking an exceptionally skilled and motivated Speech and Language Therapist (SLT) with dysphagia training to join our esteemed client in Enfield for an acute role in their hospital ward. There is potential for this role to be at Band 7 if the experience is right.
Key Responsibilities:
In this role, you will assess, treat, and manage adults with complex swallowing and communication disorders in the inpatient setting, supported by regular supervision. You will work on general medical, acute medical assessment, surgical, oncology, critical care, and care of the elderly wards as required. You will deliver evidence-based, individualised rehabilitation programmes for acute inpatients, liaise with multidisciplinary team members, and take on key worker responsibilities where needed. Additionally, you will participate in delivering training to the multidisciplinary team, family, and carers, engage in service development, continuing professional development, and other clinical governance activities to maintain and further develop personal knowledge and clinical practice. You will also supervise students and Band 5 SLTs as required. Shift patterns may cover over 7 days, with opportunities for clinical rotations.
