Overview

Band 5 Dietitian - King\'s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a permanent position based at the Denmark Hill site, working within the acute adult dietetics team with rotational opportunities. Applicants must be qualified dietitians with confirmed HCPC registration.

The post involves a busy, varied caseload and expects the successful candidate to be confident, organized and self-motivated, with support from the team.

Salary: £37,259 to £45,356 per year, inc HCA

Contract: Permanent

Working pattern: Full-time

Responsibilities

Rotations include Medicine, Surgery and the Health and Ageing unit. The post holder may also be involved in student training, service development projects and Trust-wide Nutrition and Hydration initiatives. The department expects staff to be involved in the teaching of other healthcare professionals, in line with the mission to provide excellence in clinical care, research and teaching in Kings Health Partners Academic Health Sciences Centre. There will be opportunities to shadow specialities within rotation and receive clinical supervision.

Within the acute teams there are specialist dietitians in Gastroenterology, Neurosciences, Haematology, Oncology, Liver and HPB. You will have the opportunity to develop your practice by rotating to different clinical areas within the acute caseload.

Person Specification / Qualifications

Essential

  • BSc / Post graduate diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics
  • HCPC registered

Knowledge and Experience

  • Experience of enteral feeding
  • Knowledge of Dietetics within the NHS

Desirable

  • Experience of working in acute and primary care environments
  • Evidence of continuing professional development

Skills and Competencies

  • Presentation skills and ability to work autonomously with individuals and groups
