Role: Pharmacy Technician
Banding: Band 5
Location: Aylesbury
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: End of September 2024
Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday, including weekends plus late-night duties
Rate: £19 – £22 per hour

About the role:

The Pharmacy team at Pulse is looking for a dedicated and experienced Band 5 Pharmacy Technician to join us in Aylesbury. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of £19 – £22 and is available until the end of September. It’s a fantastic opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Conduct medication reviews and provide advice to patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a safe and effective service.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Assist in the training and supervision of junior staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • ACT qualification or willing to work towards qualification.
  • Must be a registered with GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • NVQ3 in Pharmaceutical Services or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 6 months hospital experience.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Labelling and dispensing experience and knowledge of JAC computer system.
  • Experience of undertaking role of Medicines.
  • Management Pharmacy Technician within a hospital setting. (Drug taking histories, Patients own drug assessment, ordering, counselling).
