Band 5 & 6 Registered Theatres Nurse - The Royal London Hospital - Barts Health NHS Trust

Pulse Nursing are currently seeking Band 5 & 6 Registered Theatres Nurses to join our team to work for Barts Health NHS Trust. We have a high volume of shifts available and as a Pulse healthcare professional you get first choice of the best shifts. The opportunity offers flexibility to book in advance and plan your schedule. Barts Health NHS Trust is a priority client for Pulse Nursing, with a wide range of shifts available.

We offer a variety of shift patterns, including full-time equivalent hours, paying between £20.89 - £39.58 per hour.

As a Band 5 & 6 Theatres Nurse, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide safe and effective care to patients undergoing surgery. You will rotate across specialties including scrub, anaesthetics, and recovery, ensuring that every patient receives the best possible care before, during, and after their procedure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality perioperative care in line with evidence-based practice and hospital protocols.
  • Assist in preparing the operating room and ensuring all necessary equipment is available and in working order.
  • Support the surgical team as a scrub nurse, circulating nurse, or anaesthetic nurse, depending on rotation and patient needs.
  • Monitor patients' conditions during surgery and in the recovery phase, providing critical care support as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and coordinated patient care.
Role Requirements
  • Registered Nurse (RN) with current NMC registration.
  • A passion for perioperative care and a commitment to delivering high standards of nursing.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in a clinical setting.
  • To meet framework compliance requirements including DBS, Occupational Health, Clinical References and Updated CV.
  • Right to work within the UK - Proof will be required.
