Overview

A Vacancy at Barking Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals NHS Trust. We are seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Psychologist to join our Neuropsychology Team at the Regional Neurosciences Centre, Queens Hospital, serving a population of 750,000. This role offers a chance to develop expertise in adult neurological and neurosurgical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Support inpatient services (including stroke patients), the Deep Brain Stimulation surgery service, and outpatient diagnostic clinics.
• Develop skills in neuropsychological assessment using various psychometric tools (digital and paper-based) and conduct observational studies in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Gain experience in multidisciplinary teamwork and deliver brief psychological interventions in the inpatient setting.
• Receive excellent clinical supervision from three HCPC-registered Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologists through weekly sessions.

Qualifications and Experience

• British Psychological Society recognised degree.
• Experience as an Assistant Psychologist is preferred but not essential.
• Excellent communication, teamwork skills, and professionalism aligned with our Trust’s PRIDE values.
• Interest in pursuing Doctorate in Clinical Psychology training; suitable for candidates aiming for this path.
