We are looking to employ a dynamic, compassionate and aspirational individual for the role of Occupational Therapy Assistant in our Elderly Care service. The post holder will work as part of the Elderly Care Therapy Team, supporting functional assessment, rehabilitation and discharge planning to patients during their inpatient stay. The successful applicant will be passionate about delivering high quality patient care and outcomes. You will require excellent communication skills to build rapport with patients, their relatives / carers and the multidisciplinary team. You will have sound IT skills and demonstrate the Trust's values of Compassion, Aspiration, Resourcefulness and Excellence. Regular appraisal, supervision and support will be given to develop you as an individual in the therapy team with many opportunities to progress further. You will work alongside senior colleagues to implement new initiatives to continue to develop the service in line with best practice and clinical guidelines.
