Job summary

A leading healthcare organization in the United Kingdom is seeking a Health Care Assistant to join their team. In this role, you will provide both clinical and non-clinical support to patients, demonstrating your commitment to excellent patient care. Band 3 - Health Care Assistant (HCA)

You will be a core member of the Canterbury Locality District Nursing team based at Whitstable and Tankerton Hospital where you will be delivering care, both clinical and non‑clinical to patients/clients.

As a member of the Canterbury Locality you may be required to work within Faversham, Whitstable, Herne Bay and Canterbury.

Main duties of the job

Person Specification
Qualifications, Training and Experience
  • Relevant level 3 qualification (NVQ/ QCF Diploma or certificate of care / Advanced apprenticeship or equivalent or working towards)
  • Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths) (5)
Knowledge and Skills
  • Awareness of developments in the NHS Knowledge of up to date clinical practice.
  • Sound communication and interpersonal skills (verbal and written).
  • Holds current UK driving licence & access to vehicle
  • Understands the role and remit of Unregistered worker
Experience
  • Experience as a Healthcare Assistant/ Worker in a health or social care setting
  • Experience of working as part of a team Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages (E-Pay / E-roster/ AT-P/ CIS)
