Job description

We are looking to expand our CT team due to expanding services and have vacancies for experienced and highly skilled Radiographers to join our friendly and forward-thinking Radiology team at our sites including Wexham Park Hospital, Heatherwood Elective Centre and the newly opening Slough CDC at Upton. This is an ideal opportunity for an ambitious Radiographer with proven team leading skills to deepen their CT knowledge, leadership skills and develop their career.

The newly built Heatherwood Hospital, which opened in April 2022, houses a new Radiology department including a GE CT Revolution in the cross sectional suite.

The role will require individuals to cover a range of shifts across all sites, including the provision of night duties, weekend shifts and extended days.

The post holder will be an experienced Radiographer working autonomously, being accountable for their own professional actions.

You will supervise, mentor and appraise less experienced CT Radiographers, Apprentice Radiographers and Students.

There is a shift system in operation as the scanners operate 12 hours per day. This includes a dedicated Emergency Scanner in the A&E Department at Wexham Park Hospital, operating a 24 hour service, 7 days a week.

Successful candidates will be exposed to a large variety of CT examinations including oncology, cardiac CT, MSK, vascular, intervention, CT Colonography and trauma work on our GE revolutions scanners on our acute Wexham site which also operates a 24/7 CT service. We recently installed a new GE Ascend scanner with effortless workflow packages.

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust is committed to being an inclusive and disability confident employer and has been awarded the Gold for the Armed Forces Employment Recognition Scheme. We provide first class development opportunities for all staff and have a wide range of professional, management and leadership, and clinical skills training available.

Here at Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, we know how important it is to have a healthy work life balance; this benefits not only individuals but the patients we care for too.

We encourage applications from people who wish to work on a flexible basis, recognising that flexibility may mean a range of different working patterns and hours, we do our utmost to work with our staff to meet their needs and the needs of our service and its users.
