STS Aviation Services is hiring experienced B2 Mechanics to join our team in Manchester. This is a hands‑on avionics position for skilled professionals who take pride in precision, safety, and reliability. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance functions such as cable routing, component removal and installation, wire harness removal and installation, fabrication and repair of wire harness assemblies, and continuity checks.
  • Determine if work can safely be accomplished in a power‑on mode and conduct all necessary testing.
  • Fabricate and install wiring assemblies and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Remove and install avionics systems as required.
  • Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish assigned tasks.
  • Adhere to customer aircraft maintenance documentation programs.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, engineering drawings, Illustrated Parts Catalogues, ATA Codes, Service Bulletins, and Maintenance Manuals.
  • Read and apply electrical schematics to troubleshoot and repair aircraft avionics systems.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Be familiar with ESD and EWIS processes and requirements.
  • Follow all safety procedures and specifications with appropriate PPE.
  • Execute all required paperwork accurately and in real time.
  • Operate ground support equipment safely, if qualified.
  • Complete assignments with minimal rework and high attention to detail.
  • Act as a mentor and assist in training less experienced avionics technicians.
  • Interface effectively with management, engineers, and co-workers.
  • Perform other duties as instructed by the Check Manager or Certifying Engineers.
Required Qualifications
  • Must provide own tools.
  • Proficiency in English (read, write, speak, and understand).
  • Minimum of 24 months of experience troubleshooting and performing avionics repairs on military or commercial transport aircraft.
  • Minimum visual acuity of 20 / 40 corrected.
