Role Overview

We are looking for a hands‑on Avid MediaCentral/Avid MAM Engineer with strong experience in API‑based integrations and media migration within broadcast and OTT environments.

This role focuses on Avid MediaCentral/Interplay APIs, metadata‑driven workflows, archive‑to‑cloud migrations, and integration with downstream broadcast systems.
This is not a support or operations role candidates must have direct technical, hands‑on experience.

Key Responsibilities Avid MediaCentral/Avid MAM Integration

• Hands‑on development and integration using Avid MediaCentral/Interplay APIs
• Build and support API‑driven workflows for:
  • Metadata extraction, enrichment, and validation
  • Asset registration and lifecycle management
  • Integration with QC, packaging, and content delivery platforms
• Support automation across media supply chain workflows

Media Asset & Metadata Migration

• Export and prepare media assets and metadata from Avid MAM
• Design and execute metadata mapping, normalization, and validation
• Ensure metadata integrity and correct asset relationships post‑migration
• Support operational transition during migration programmes

Archive & Cloud Workflows

• Work with archive systems (eg. DIVA Archive) to manage archive and restore workflows
• Support media transfers between AWS S3 and cloud‑based processing platforms
• Validate successful transfers and troubleshoot migration issues

Cloud & Modern MAM Platforms

• Support ingestion workflows into cloud‑based MAM platforms (eg. Mimir)
• Enable Proxy generation, processing, and archival into Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
• Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate with broadcast and OTT delivery systems

Essential Skills & Experience

• Strong hands‑on experience with Avid MediaCentral/Interplay (Avid MAM)
• Proven experience working with Avid MAM APIs (REST/integration workflows)
• Solid background in media asset and metadata migration projects
• Experience in broadcast, media, or OTT environments
• Hands‑on experience with AWS S3 or similar cloud storage platforms
• Strong understanding of media workflows, metadata models, and automation

Preferred/Nice to Have

• Experience with DIVA Archive
• Exposure to cloud‑based MAM platforms (eg. Mimir)
• Experience migrating from Avid MAM to other MAM systems (Dalet, CatDV, custom cloud MAM)
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Storage (GCS)
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
