We are seeking passionate and dedicated Autism Support Workers to join a welcoming SEN school in Bradford. The school supports children with a range of special educational needs, including:

  • ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition)
  • MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties)
  • Behavioural and emotional needs
  • Sensory processing needs

As an Autism Support Worker, you will play a key role in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.

Your Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support for pupils with autism and additional needs
  • Work with small groups to deliver targeted interventions
  • Support pupils with communication, sensory regulation, emotional well-being, and behaviour
  • Assist class teachers in creating an inclusive, nurturing learning environment
  • Use sensory-based strategies to help pupils engage in lessons
  • Help pupils develop independence and social interaction skills
We’re Looking For

You do not need school experience to apply – the school welcomes applicants from care, youth work, psychology, support work, or childcare backgrounds.

You should have:
  • A passion for supporting children with SEND
  • Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude
  • Good communication skills
  • An interest in autism, child development, behaviour support, or sensory needs
